UPDATE: New Minimum Wage in St. Louis City Upheld by Missouri Supreme Court

UPDATE:

The City of St. Louis has taken the position that the new minimum wage increase does not go into effect until the Missouri Supreme Court issues its formal mandate to the lower court and thereafter the trial court officially lifts the injunction in response to the mandate.  The City’s website also suggests, but doesn’t outright say, that the City may implement some sort of phased-in schedule for the wage increase, rather than jumping straight up to $10/hour based upon the schedule originally set forth in the ordinance.  The most recent information on the status of the minimum wage increase can be found on the City’s website.
